Some people have the old fashioned linoleum in their homes for fifty or sixty years. They just like the permanence and durability of glue-down resilient marmoleum flooring tiles. Available at two price points and in two different color palettes, the MCT and Dual Tile both perform wonderfully in different applications. MCT works best in commercial applications where regular coating application is the norm. Dual Tile is essentially the same material only a good bit thicker to resist wear and tear in a residential setting where floor coating is less common.

Marmoleum Composition Tile (MCT)

Marmoleum Composition Tile, or Marmoleum Commercial Tile as some people call it, is used extensively in schools, hospitals and commercial buildings. Many folks confuse the term… however appropriate it may be. In fact the word composition was cleverly used by Forbo to create an environmentally friendly alternative in the marketplace to VCT or vinyl composition tile. Luckily for you, the two are nothing alike. Marmoleum's hard wearing surface is not made from petrochemicals and has none of the drawbacks of vinyl… although vinyl flooring has it's place. MCT comes from the factory with a hard wearing coating called Topshield which means it can go right to work without the need to provide top coatings as is common with vinyl and other plastic based composites for quite awhile. Marmoleum Dual Tile

Marmoleum Dual Tile is available in 13" or 20" squares and also in boxes of 45 or boxes of 9. This glue down product is your old fashioned battleship linoleum and it is avialable in beautiful unique Marmoleum colors. This product is thicker than the MCT Tile and is the closest thing on the market today to the old fashioned lino flooring. Using a 150 year old recipe, Forbo still makes patterns they made at the turn of the century.
